Retire To Tennessee

Tennessee really could be much higher on our list of best states to retire to, with low taxes, plenty of social security exemptions, great overall weather and reasonably priced real estate it’s a wonder that it’s not higher. You could make a serious argument about any of the states that are 8-15 or so. In general, these states offer most of what you’d want in a retirement state, and Tennesee is no different. However, like Arkansas, the state suffers from a high crime rate and below average health care. Also, something probably not talked about a lot but due to the mountain range, navigating east and west in state isn’t a cake walk either.
